How to store peptide pens
Every R3vive pen carries the same storage line: "Store at 2–8°C". This guide explains how to store peptide pens to that line: what 2–8°C means in practice, what to do when the parcel arrives, where in the fridge a pen should go, and what to avoid.
The storage line on every pen
The catalogue gives "Store at 2–8°C" for every pen we sell, single peptides and blends alike, and the same line is printed on each box. 2–8°C is the range of a working household fridge. Do peptides need to be refrigerated? For our pens the answer is on the label: yes, at 2–8°C, from the day they arrive.

When the parcel arrives
Orders go out by Royal Mail Tracked 24 in a plain outer parcel. On the day it arrives:
- Open the parcel and check the box against your order confirmation.
- Put the box straight into the fridge, unopened.
- Keep the order confirmation: it has the order reference you need if you contact us.
If a parcel arrives damaged, or a pen is leaking, email us quoting your order reference, ideally within 48 hours and with a photo. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 always apply to goods that are faulty, damaged or not as described; our delivery and returns page explains what happens next.
Where in the fridge
| Do | Avoid |
|---|---|
| Keep the pen in its box, which keeps light off it | Leaving the pen loose in a bright fridge |
| Use a middle shelf, where the temperature is steadiest | The door, which warms each time it opens |
| Keep it away from the back wall and any ice compartment | Freezing: a solution should not freeze |
| Keep the cap on the pen | Storing it next to strong-smelling or leaking food |
A fridge thermometer, placed on the same shelf, shows whether your fridge really holds 2–8°C. Many fridges run colder at the back and warmer in the door than the dial suggests.
Light and freezing
Peptide solutions are kept away from light and are not frozen. The box does the first job; the middle shelf does the second. If a pen has frozen, for example after being pushed against the back wall, do not treat it as a normal pen: contact us with the order reference.
How long can a pen be out of the fridge?
How long a peptide pen keeps, in or out of the fridge, is set by the manufacturer's stability data, and we state no figure here. What the label asks is simple: store at 2–8°C and refrigerate on arrival. Keep the time a pen spends out of the fridge short, and never leave one in a warm car, on a windowsill or in direct sun.
Pens and powders
Pens and lyophilised (freeze-dried) powders are stored differently on the shelf but carry the same 2–8°C line in our catalogue. A pen holds the peptide already in solution; a vial of powder is kept sealed and dry. Our peptide pen vs vial guide sets the two formats side by side.
