Semaglutide (NN9535) is a GLP-1 receptor agonist peptide developed by Novo Nordisk and described in 2015 by Lau and colleagues in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry. It is an analogue of human GLP-1(7–37), 31 amino acids long, with two substitutions in the chain: α-aminoisobutyric acid (Aib) at position 8 and arginine at position 34. Lysine 26 carries a C18 fatty diacid through a γ-glutamic acid and OEG linker, which makes it bind serum albumin. Molecular formula C187H291N45O59. Molar mass (molecular weight): about 4,114 g/mol. CAS 910463-68-2.
Our Semaglutide comes as 10mg of lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder at 99% purity, with the strength printed on the pack. Store the powder at 2–8°C, sealed and away from light.
Semaglutide has one receptor target; Tirzepatide adds GIP, and Retatrutide adds GIP and glucagon. Compare the three on our GLP-1 research peptides page. Free tracked UK delivery, dispatch within 1 working day and card payment.
Questions
Is Semaglutide a peptide?
Yes. It is a chain of 31 amino acids, a modified form of the human peptide GLP-1, with a fatty diacid side chain.
What form is it supplied in?
10mg of lyophilised powder, as printed on the pack.
How should the powder be stored?
At 2–8°C, sealed, dry and away from light. Our lyophilised peptides guide gives shelf-life detail.
How does Semaglutide differ from Tirzepatide and Retatrutide?
Semaglutide binds the GLP-1 receptor only; Tirzepatide binds GIP and GLP-1; Retatrutide binds GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon.
Ordering, delivery and payment
How fast is delivery, and what is the cut-off?
Delivery is free, tracked and dispatched within 1 working day. The line under Add to cart shows today's order cut-off and the usual arrival day. See delivery and returns for the detail.
What's in the box?
What is in the pack is printed on the pack itself. Ask us before you order if you need to know more.
Which payment methods, and why might a card be declined (VPN, 3-D Secure)?
You pay by card on a secure payment page. A card is most often declined when a VPN is switched on, when the bank's 3-D Secure screen is closed before it finishes, or when the bank blocks an unfamiliar merchant. Switch the VPN off, keep the 3-D Secure screen open until it completes, and try again. If it still fails, contact us.
What if a parcel is lost or damaged?
Email us quoting your order reference. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 always apply to goods that are faulty, damaged or not as described. See delivery and returns.
Bulk pricing?
For 10 or more pens, or an order over £500, ask for a quote on the contact page.
Is the outer parcel plain?
Yes. Every order ships in a plain outer parcel, with no product names or branding on the outside.
Does each pack have a batch code?
Yes. Every pack carries a batch code. Quote it if you contact us about an order.
